Client Expectations
(Updated July 22, 2024)These expectations are posted in our waiting area each Friday afternoon.
- Follow CCFP procedures - Get on the waitlist, wait your turn, and bring your Link2Feed card and shopping bags.
- Treat volunteers with respect - be kind and do as requested without arguing. Remember that volunteers are donating their time to assist you!
- Treat other clients with respect - do not request special treatment, such as receiving extra food or a special place in line. We strive to treat all our wonderful clients equally!
- Treat the facility with respect -
- Stay in the areas designated for the food pantry. The sanctuary is not open to clients, and the playground is the property of Whee Preschool.
- Supervise your children at all times.
Data Privacy Statement
(Updated August 20, 2026)Client data is maintained in the Link2Feed data base that is provided to us through Food Bank of the Rockies. In order to participate in this client intake program, we have agreed to the following:
- We will keep your information safe and secure.
- We will treat you and your information with dignity and respect.
- We will never share your personal, individual information with anyone outside of the Food Bank of the Rockies partner network.
- We will never sell the information provided.
- Only trained personnel will be able to log into the system.
Diaper Program
(Updated August 7, 2026)A written copy of these policies can be obtained from the diaper station volunteer.
We are so happy to be able to provide diapers for our food pantry clients! However, we operate out of a church and have a limit to our storage capabilities. For that reason, we have some policies you should be aware of:
- You must be a food client to receive diapers.
- You can only order diapers for children who live in your household and are listed in your Link2Feed account. If you have a new baby, ask a volunteer to add them to your account.
- We only have access to children's diapers in the sizes listed on the order forms. Currently, we can order only diapers in sizes newborn, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. Pull-ups are no longer available. We order specific sizes for you, so please list only one size for each child. A size chart is available in pounds and kilograms if you need help with ordering the correct size.
- Your child must be 5 or under for the diaper program. If you have a child who is 6 or older or who has a diagnosed medical condition, talk to a health care provider about other options for free diapers, especially if your child is enrolled in Medicaid.
- Each child can receive only one order of 25 diapers per month. If the parents are separated, one parent should place the order and share it with the other parent.
- Diaper orders generally must be placed by the 26th day of the month and are available either the first or second Friday of the following month. It is essential that you pick up the diapers that you order, and you will not be allowed to order for 6 months if you fail to pick them up twice.
- During November and December, the food pantry experiences an especially high number of client visits. Some of those clients do not return until the next November. Because of this, in December, diaper orders will only be accepted from established diaper clients. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, but it prevents us from having large numbers of diapers that are not claimed in January.
Everyday Eats (Senior Box) Eligibility
(Updated August 13, 2026)Everyday Eats provides nutritious food to income-qualifying individuals at least 60 years of age, with the goal of improving health by providing key nutrients. Seniors with an income at or below 15% of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines are eligible. (Note: These guidelines are lower than those for TEFAP eligibility.)
Each Everyday Eats box contains about 35 pounds of shelf-stable food items, such as cereal, rice or pasta, protein (such as tuna or chicken), shelf-stable milk, canned fruits and vegetables, plant-based protein (such as peanut butter or canned beans), and tomato or fruit juice. A two-pound block of refrigerated cheese comes alongside the box. Two easy recipes incorporating box items are also included, along with a newsletter covering various health and nutrition topics. Recipes and newsletters are printed in English and Spanish.
If you are a CCFP client, you may sign up for the Everyday Eats program by visiting the Senior Box distribution station. A volunteer will complete the paperwork, using the information in your Link2Feed account, and you will sign the application to confirm that the information is correct. After that, Food Bank of the Rockies will send CCFP a box for you each month, as long as you pick one up at least once every three months.
If you are unable to pick up your Everyday Eats box in person, you may designate a proxy to do so. The same proxy may also pick up TEFAP foods for you. See a check-in volunteer to help set up a proxy.
Proxies
(Updated August 19, 2026)Covenant Cupboard Food Pantry clients can designate a proxy to pick up their food, including TEFAP items and Everyday Eats boxes, when they are unable to come to the pantry. The proxy does not need to be another food pantry client. Proper information about proxies and the effective dates are completed and entered by any Food Bank of the Rockies agency using Link2Feed. The State of Colorado limits proxy designations to one calendar year, after which a renewal of the proxy form will be required.
Service Animal Policy
(Updated August 13, 2025)It is the policy of Covenant Cupboard to comply with all ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requirements by allowing service animals to accompany clients. Service animals are defined as dogs of any breed or size that are trained to perform a task directly related to a person’s disability, and they must be leashed or otherwise restrained. Pets and emotional support animals ARE NOT service animals and will not be permitted inside the pantry. NO animal will be allowed on site if it exhibits vicious or uncontrollable behavior.
If it is not obvious that a dog is a service animal, we will be asking the following two questions allowed by the ADA regarding service animals: (1) Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? (2) What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?
TEFAP Eligibility
(Updated August 13, 2026)Covenant Cupboard partners with Food Bank of the Rockies to serve clients who qualify for The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). For income limits and a list of other qualifying programs, click HERE.
Clients are currently allowed to receive TEFAP foods at CCFP every Friday afternoon between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m., except when certain holidays fall on a Friday. These exceptions will be announced several weeks in advance both on-site and on our website. At their visit, clients will also receive other food items sourced from grocery rescue programs and donations.
Clients are required to join our waitlist between 12:00 noon and 3:45 p.m. on the day of their visit and MUST NOT have received TEFAP foods from another food pantry that same day. Clients who are unable to come to CCFP in person may designate a proxy to pick up food for them. A check-in volunteer can help set up a proxy. Proxies must also join the waitlist.
New Clients are NOT required to join the waitlist. If you think you might be a new client, click HERE to learn more.

- ALL clients will be treated with respect and compassion.
- Client information will be kept CONFIDENTIAL. Volunteers will not access the WaitWhile or Link2Feed systems without permission and training.
- Clients may not be photographed without their permission.
- CCFP nametags should be worn during distribution hours to help clients know that you are a volunteer.
- All clients should be treated EQUALLY - no client should be given special treatment.
- Clients should NEVER be offered cash.
- Volunteers should perform the duty or duties to which they have been assigned and not leave their stations unattended.
WaitIist Policies
(Updated Jan 20, 2025)ALL guests that are registered in the Link2Feed system must get on the waitlist to get food at CCFP. Everyone is served in the order on the waitlist, NO EXCEPTIONS. All guests must arrive inside before 4:00 p.m. and be on the waitlist to get food at CCFP.
CCFP limits the number of guests who can sign up on the waitlist and will not serve walk-ins. If you try to sign up after the limit has been reached, you will see the message, “The Waitlist Maximum has been reached for today.” You will not be able to visit the pantry today if you get this message.
No Shows
Any guest who has not arrived within 20 minutes of receiving the “PLEASE COME INSIDE NOW” message will be considered a No Show and will be removed from the waitlist. A message will be sent to the guest to inform them of this action. Provided there is still space on the waitlist, the guest will need to sign up again if they still want to visit the pantry.
To avoid being No Showed, we permit a guest to identify they will be arriving late. If you are not going to be able to arrive at the time you receive the message “PLEASE COME INSIDE NOW”, please do one of the following:
- Delay your arrival by clicking the “I'm running late” button. This will move your position down the list by 20 spaces, giving you approximately 20 additional minutes to arrive. You still need to arrive at CCFP by 4:00 pm.
- Cancel your appointment by clicking the “I'm not coming” button.
